If you’ve been keeping an eye on Atlanta’s skyline lately, you’ve probably noticed a new landmark rising in Midtown. The 60-story tower at 1072 West Peachtree St. recently reached its full height of 749 feet, making it Atlanta’s fifth-tallest building and the tallest new skyscraper in the city in over 30 years.
Name of the Project: 1072 West Peachtree St.
Address: 1072 West Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA
Developed by the Rockefeller Group, 1072 West Peachtree has officially topped out at 749 feet, making it the tallest new high-rise constructed in Atlanta in more than three decades. This milestone marks a significant moment for Midtown’s evolving skyline as the tower continues to rise into one of the most prominent mixed-use projects in the city.
The development will include 357 luxury apartments, eight floors of office space totaling 224,000 square feet, and an extensive collection of high-end amenities. Among them are a large athletic club, sky garden, pickleball court, spa-treatment rooms, and a thoughtfully designed base featuring retail space and structured parking for 730 vehicles, with separate entrances for residents and office tenants.
Situated in Midtown—one of Atlanta’s fastest-growing districts—the tower arrives amid a wave of development that delivered 46 buildings between 2018 and early 2024. Notably, its office component is expected to be the final new office construction block in metro Atlanta, signaling a shift toward more selective and intentional commercial development. More than just a tall building, 1072 West Peachtree reflects ongoing confidence in Atlanta’s future and its continued appeal for residents, employers, and investors.
